PCA Herding Tests - Vacaville, CA - Monday, Oct 26, 2009

This location is very convenient for those driving. Dixon is located practically at the intersection of I-5 and I-80. I-5 is the major North, South expressway from and to Southern California and I-80 is a major East, West thoroughfare from and to the East.

The Friday show (which we will consider our National) is a Herding Group Show. The BOB Puli will compete in the Group. There will be a Class for Herding Titled Dogs and Bitches (these two class winners compete for BOB, but not for WD or WB).

PCA will sponsor Herding Tests on Monday, Oct 26th. We will have two all-breed AKC Herding Instinct Tests (HIT) with 2 different judges, as well as two Herding Tests (HT) and two Pre-Trial (PT) tests. It would be possible to get a Herding title in one day. This is a terrific opportunity to see if your Puli has herding instinct, or if you've done some training already, to complete for the next level test.

The herding location is at the Herding-4-Ewe, 5212 Allendale Road, Vacaville, CA 95688. Maps will be provided.

The hotel is in Vallejo and is approximately 33 miles from the show site. PCA room rate is $99/night. Inside the hotel is the Cafe, which offers breakfast each morning, and dinner on Saturday. The hotel is just 12 miles from Napa Valley, a widely respected wine region known for great restaurants and wine-tasting. It is only 27 miles from San Francisco.
